Why!
Our dogs (and often ourselves) can have a short attention span! With virtual training we’ll be practicing in more frequent & shorter sessions. This will set both the dog and the human up to succeed. Think quality over quantity!
Training and learning in general tends to be more effective when practiced in low distraction environments. Without having the exciting new treat dispensing human (me) in your house, you’ll likely get more focus out of your dog and therefore more successful sessions.
You’ll have more flexibility in choosing when to train and this will also give you the opportunity to practice at various times of day which is important for generalizing behaviors.
By learning to use science based training methods to work with your own dog, you will have a better understanding of how dogs learn. You will have a more effective way of communicating with your dog and will create a strong and long-lasting bond.
